Epilepsy, the hippocampus, and the cortex. Our lab is currently pursuing research projects related to the understanding, prevention, and treatment of epilepsy. These include testing whether stem cell derived, GABAergic neurons can functionally integrate into hippocampal circuits and provide seizure-preventing inhibition.
